Claiming to be one of the "Worlds Most Famous Beach it is a popular vocation destination frequented by the tourists.
Being one of the Florida's first beach resort communities it is known for its remarkable width and the soft sand. Providing one of the best surfaces for fast driving Daytona has been associated with fast driving. Till some time back one could witness the race cars speeding on the sand but now they have moved to the Daytona International Speedway. Although this is the only beach that still allows cars on the sand.
Constantly crowded with college students, families and athletes the weather and the attractions are plus points here. With tourist traffic increasing the beach hosts attractions like the: casinos, shopping arcades, nightclubs, family fun centers and much more.
There are numerous beach parties held too all around the year that basically interests the younger crowd. One of the most looked forward for is an MTV Spring Break Special.
